Instructor: Robert Correll. Tai Chi is a moderate intensity cardiovascular and weight bearing exercise. It is practiced in a slow, gentle and gracefully flowing manner and is easy on your joints. It can be practiced by almost anyone regardless of the level of fitness. The approach is self-paced and non-competitive. "No pain" is the watch word. Tai Chi can improve balance, flexibility, strength and endurance. Studies have shown that Tai Chi can help reduce pain, lower blood pressure, strengthen the lungs, reduce stress and generally increase the sense of well being.
