[ARCHIVED] Roadwork to begin on Hayes and Champaign September 29

The City of Taylor has contracted with Fiore Enterprises LLC to repair sections of Hayes Street from Pine to Monroe, and Champaign from Pardee to Pelham.
The work is scheduled to begin September 29. The concrete repair work will last approximately four to five weeks. Fiore will notify residents 24 hours before removal work is to begin on the street. The process will begin with saw cutting of the sections to be removed, followed by pavement removal, base preparation, drainage structure adjustment and repair, and placing and curing the concrete.
After the cement cures (five to seven days), work will begin on the other half of the street. Working hours will be 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
One half of the street will be worked on at a time to allow traffic to continue during and after working hours. Residents may lose access to the front or side of their property during the work. Please do you best to park your vehicles in other locations.
Trash pick-up will continue as scheduled. Place receptacles at the curbside on the opposite side of the street from the work being done, or at the center of the street.
Your cooperation is appreciated. If you have questions, contact City Engineer Greg Mayhew at (734) 374-1473 or by email at gmayhew@ci.taylor.mi.us.
